/// IN THE LAB

What children learn.

Children test how machines notice, learn, make things and make decisions.

Access in every lab.

  • Narration is on by default, captions are always shown, and every line can be replayed.
  • Children answer with pictures and sentence tiles, without typing.
  • Text-size and motion-comfort settings are set for each child.

/// ANSWERS

Questions districts ask.

Does Mechna Academy collect student data?

No. A child’s progress is saved only on the device, and the game makes no internet connections, so it does not send us a child’s progress. We never receive a child’s name, progress, or anything they type or say. There are no accounts, no ads and no analytics of our own. During the pilot, Apple’s TestFlight sends us crash reports, usage information and device details about the app installed by the parent. A parent sets up each child with an age group instead of a birth date, and a nickname from a safe list.

What devices does it use?

Mechna Academy is built for iPad and Mac. Deleting it from an iPad deletes saved progress; removing saved progress on a Mac takes an extra step.

Do children talk to a chatbot or an AI model?

No. The machines children study are simulations built from rules and examples written and checked in advance.
