What is Mechna Academy?
Mechna Academy is a city of machines for curious children aged 8 to 18, opening first to ages 8 to 10. In each mission, a child guesses how a machine decides, then opens its Peek Hatch to check, changes one thing and tests it on a case it has never seen. Children learn how AI works this way, and they never chat with an AI.
Mechna teaches how AI machines work, across five districts of one city: AI in everyday life, what machines can notice, how they learn and get tested and fixed, how AI makes new things, and whether to trust it and who decides.

Does a child chat with an AI in Mechna Academy?
No. Your child never chats with anyone in Mechna, and never with an AI: there’s no chatbot and no live AI model in the app. Mechna Academy teaches children how AI machines work by testing them. The machines run on rules and examples written and checked in advance, and the guide, Max, is a character, not an AI companion.
What happens in a Mechna Academy session?
A session runs 15 to 20 minutes. Your child rides the Inner Loop train to a district, meets a resident who needs help and tries that resident’s machine. They guess how it decides, then open its Peek Hatch to check. They change one thing and test it, try a case the machine has never seen, and save what they found on a Discovery Card.
Every machine’s hatch stays locked until your child commits a guess, so they think before they look.
What does Mechna Academy do with children's data?
Mechna does not collect student data. The app has no student accounts, and what a child does in the game stays on the device. We never use children’s data to train AI.
You set up each child before they play, behind a parent check: an age group rather than a birth date, plus reading, voice, text-size and motion support. The waitlist page asks for a parent's email, not a child's name or birth date.
What changes for ages 11 to 18?
For ages 11 to 18, the lines below describe the learning path the curriculum is built around. At 11 to 13, children read, predict, change and test a small program. At 14 and up, advanced code is optional.
What do these facts show, and what don't they?
These are design facts about how Mechna Academy is built, not certifications. They do not rate Mechna Academy or measure what a child learns.
